Day Program

Adults 18 & older (must be out of High School)

REACH provides experiences and activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our day program helps our participants build relationships, learn life skills & how to advocate for themselves,
do fun activities, get involved in the community, and learn healthy habits in fun ways.

Relationships

Building bonds with peers as well as building social/emotional self-awareness and increasing emotional intelligence.

Activities

Allowing participants to have choices in their activities that are meaningful and relevant to them.

Empowerment

Helping adults with disabilities become stronger, more confident, and advocating for themselves.

Community

Striving to build a sense of community pride,
volunteerism, and service.

Health

Creating a high level of understanding of health & safety
and instilling the importance of daily physical activity.

Activities that are chosen by participants

Just like other adults, participants will choose activities that are meaningful for them and fit their schedules and lifestyles. Our activities will fit into these four categories: life skills, recreation/social groups, employment/training, and exercise/nutrition. We believe that these four categories will assist our participants in reaching their full potential - whatever that means to them.

And - a side note to parents & caregivers- our #1 priority for participants is safety! We know that sending your loved one to a day program can make you anxious. We get it! We have a strong system to ensure the highest level of safety for our participants and staff AND a high level of transparency for parents & caregivers!
